Dreaming of a vitrine

I’ve had a bit of a crush on the beautiful vitrines from Lindebjerg Design ever since I saw them for first time at a trade fair some years ago. I’m a bit picky when it comes to vitrines. They can be both a beautiful piece of furniture and a hideous one. In the 90’s there were produced a crazy amount of not that charming vitrines in pine tree. I think there were one in every modern Norwegian livingroom at one point! Classy and modern at the time, but it was like the vitrine concept were kind of worn out. Ever since I’ve had my second thoughts on ever having one in my own home. The vitrines from Lindebjerg Design kind of made be change my mind, actually. So ever since that tradeshow I have been dreaming of a vitrine in our livingroom 🙂

Simplicity and quality

I love the simple design of their vitrines. They are designed to be timeless and in a quality that will make them last for years and years to come – even for more than one generation. That’s my kind of language, and part of the reason why I fell for these vitrines. If there ever will be one appearing in our livingroom, I not 100% sure of, but I hope so one day. Our problem is that if a new piece of furniture enters, one of our present pieces has to go… And the big question is, which one 😉 So for now, I’ll just keep dreaming and that’s ok too! If you want to have a closer look at the vitrines from Lindebjerg Design, have a look here. They come in several versions and colours, and I’m sure there are one for you to dream about as well 😉

As you can see from the photos, we had an unexpected visit from the sun. Or at least it was unexpected for me – I have stopped waiting for it 😉  But they say we are going to see the sun quite a lot this week, so I’m happy! Enjoy the new week, all!

Best wishes from Heidi
